The judge motivated her refusal by the fact that the leader of the Movement For Freedom (MFF) wasn’t present in Niezalezhnastsi square on December 19.

Alaksandr Milinkevich intended to participate as a witness of the defense of those accused persons whose case is considered these days in the Frunzienski District Court of Minsk (Niaklayeu, Fiaduta, Vazniak, Dzmitriyeu, Palazhanka, and Rymasheuski).

“I wanted to testify that the action’s organizers didn’t have a single position concerning the scenario of protests against ballot rigging on the presidential election of December 19. A part of protesters had an intention to hold the action in Kastrychnitskaya square, another part wanted to do the same in Niezalezhnastsi square, and some protesters intended to go to protest near the presidential residence. People’s mood was peaceful. The candidates had different strategies – therefore, the accusation both in a plot and in organizing of mass disorders has no grounds whatsoever”, said Milinkevich.
