Member of the Movement For Freedom (MFF) Council Raman Kisliak intends to be nominated as a candidate in No. 2 Brest City Central District constituency. Representatives of the ‘Against the Battery Factory Construction’ electoral block will cover other districts, namely Aliaksandr Kabanau, Alena Makarevich, and Uladzimir Maroz.
About 150 people came in Lenina Square in Brest on September 15 — they discussed the participation of the ‘Against the Battery Factory’ block members in the parliamentary election.
The activists are waiting until Uladzimir Maroz’s initiative group is registered, and will be holding joined pickets for all four activists. They intend to hold pickets every day at five or six venues in Brest.
After the meeting in the square, which lasted until about 12:40 a.m., the opponents of the factory construction came down the central streets of Brest — Pushkinskaya and Savetskaya — to Belarus cinema.
