A session of the Euronest Working Group on Belarus took place in the European Parliament today. The Movement For Freedom (MFF) was represented by MFF Chairman Yuri Hubarevich.

The main subject of the MFF leader’s speech was the current state of relations between Belarus and Russia and the associated dangers.

“Today, it’s time for the European Union to devise a road map for Belarus, which shall include assistance for restructuring and economic reforms provided that political reforms are conducted. This is an opportune time to get rid of dependence on Russia,” stressed Hubarevich.

Belarus was represented at the Euronest Working Group’s session by: Siarhey Kaliakin (head of the Just World party), Vital Rimasheuski (head of the Belarusian Christian Democracy (BCD) party), Hanna Kanapatskaya (MP of the House of Representatives), Irina Veshtard (Deputy Chair of the Belarusian Social Democratic Party), Anatol Liabedzka (the United Civil Party (UCP)), Aliaksey Yanukevich (Deputy Chairman of the Belarusian Popular Front (BPF) party), and Andrey Dzmitriyeu (Co-Chairman of the Tell the Truth campaign).
