MFF condemns the attack on Ukrainian ships in the Kerch Strait

The Movement For Freedom (MFF) demands that military relations with Russia be revised after the Russian navy’s attack on Ukrainian ships in the Kerch Strait.

“Contrary to the UN Charter and the UN Convention on the Law of the Sea, Russian ships have violated the freedom of navigation in the Kerch Strait and used force against Ukrainian ships, which resulted in bloodshed. The Russian Federation has once again demonstrated its aggressive nature by these actions,” states the MFF.

The MFF strongly condemns these illegal actions of Moscow, which, according to the MFF, “indicate the existence of a real threat to the independence and territorial integrity of Russia’s neighbours, including Belarus.”

“We urge the Belarusian authorities to radically revise all the relations with Russia in the military sphere and to ensure that the constitutional provision on the neutrality of Belarus be implemented,” state the authors of the statement.

The MFF thinks that Belarus should urgently secede from military alliances with Russia and make Russia withdraw its military installations from Belarus.

The MFF demands that “the broadcasting of Russian media propaganda in Belarus be restricted” to ensure information security of the state.
